A lively community strengthens cohesion and motivation for the challenges ahead. The annual company Christmas party provides the setting for a well-deserved end to a demanding working year.

The MTA company party focuses on recognizing the achievements of the entire team for the successful completion of the diverse and complex projects of the past year. The Christmassy ambience of a top restaurant, excellent cuisine and the cheerful mood of the workforce contribute to a successful evening. At the same time, this event provides an incentive for the tasks that the new year has in store.

It is not the first time that the company Christmas party has ended in the early hours of the morning after visiting several bars and evening venues.

MTA supports electromobility and offers its guests full energy.  In addition to energy-efficient drives for the entire logistics sector, MTA is also developing more and more sustainably as a company.

For example, three e-charging stations were recently installed in the company parking lot. This gives our customers the opportunity to recharge their electric vehicles during their visit, so that they can drive away again after their appointment, charged with energy.

In addition to responsible use of all available resources, this forms a further step in our engagement to a more sustainable future. Thus, not only our products stand for this commitment, but also our actions are environmentally conscious.

With our ISO 14001 certification, we ensure our continuous development in environmentally sound management.

Regular activities strengthen the community spirit in the company and the togetherness among colleagues. This year’s company outing once again demonstrated the cohesion that is lived out at MTA.

Sporting zeal and fun were clearly in the foreground at this year’s employee event. With perfect weather and pleasant temperatures, an excursion to times long past took place. First, we visited the Celtic village in Mitterkirchen, where we looked back on the life of the Celts 2700 years ago.

In the following group competition over several stations creativity, skill and concentration were in demand. Before we went on to the brewery feast in the Burgschenke at Clam Castle, we had a final drink in the tranquil village of this bygone era.

With food and drink like in the old days, namely a hearty meal in a knightly ambience, the company afternoon came to an end in a relaxed atmosphere. Lively discussions and convivial hours were spent until later in the evening. This excursion, which was experienced by all as extremely successful, passed too quickly.

In close cooperation with the Lippert team, a high-performance sorter system was designed and implemented for the Lippert company.

This Lippert Flex Sorter High Performance sorting system is specifically designed to process up to 10,000 package units per hour and features an intelligent system control that dynamically adjusts the system’s capacity to the current package volume.

One of the outstanding features of the Lippert Flex Sorter High Performance is the powerful sorter motor in combination with the associated power electronics from MTA. This interaction enables efficient and precise sortation even with high throughput and complex requirements due to a wide variety of conveyed goods.

The sorter has a key role in Lippert’s high-quality sorting technology. It helps users operate logistics and sortation systems at a new level. Speed, sorting accuracy, gentle transport and optimal maintenance interventions thus reduce costs and increase efficiency.

At the beginning of the year, DI (FH) Uwe Neumann took up his duties at MTA as Sales Director.

The native German, who has lived with his family in Upper Austria for more than 25 years, looks back on extensive experience as an international sales director in well-known and internationally active companies. Uwe Neumann completed most of his impressive professional career in intralogistics as well as in plastics machinery manufacturing. Therefore, he can profitably contribute his extensive sales and technical know-how to MTA.

With his entry into the sales management, he will accompany the next development steps in the company together with the existing MTA management. As a thoroughbred salesman, Uwe Neumann will focus on the further development of sales structures and the global market expansion. The focus will be on digitalization in sales, market development and customer orientation.

We are very pleased to welcome him as an experienced specialist in his field to our team.

The gearless direct drive was specially developed for differential AGVs and AMRs. The very compact design enables narrow and low-profile vehicles. This generates more space for other components such as battery, drive controller and control systems.

The direct drive solution eliminates the need for a gearbox, resulting in a whisper-quiet ride. The drive has an integrated stop and emergency stop brake as well as an encoder system.

Since it does not require any gears or other wearing parts, it is low-maintenance and has a long service life. Thanks to its compact design, the drive can be accommodated in all vehicle sizes. Due to its gearless design, its maximum running smoothness ensures the lowest possible noise levels. In addition to deceleration through recuperation, deceleration with the integrated brake is also possible (emergency stop), ensuring a high level of safety. The use of high-quality components gives the drive maximum robustness (shocks, uneven ground).

Optimum controllability of the motor up to standstill is provided by the use of a permanent-magnet synchronous machine with notch compensation. In addition, the reduction of friction losses to a minimum is achieved by the use of special rubber linings. The mounting flange ensures easy installation.

Joint activities contribute to team building and increase cohesion. Thus, the MTA hobby soccer team was able to end the last tournament with great success – this time with a place on the winner’s podium.

St. Valentin. On Saturday, November 5, six soccer-mad MTA employees and one female employee went to nearby St. Valentin to participate in the indoor soccer tournament. A total of 10 amateur teams competed for a top spot. The very demanding game turned out to be a neck-and-neck race between the teams. In the end, an outstanding 3rd place was achieved. The bronze winner’s cup of the MTA team now adorns a place of honor in the company.

The Railway Challenge (RWC) is an international competition in which several teams of up to 15 people compete against each other with a specially developed 1:5 scale locomotive.

This is precisely what students from the Nuremberg University of Technology, under the direction of the Institute of Automotive Engineering, have set themselves as their goal and are taking part in the Railway Challenge “Continental Edition” in Bad Schussenried, Germany. Among other things, they will have to prove themselves in the areas of design, automatic target braking and ride comfort.

Movable bogies, single-wheel controlled motors, purely electric brakes and the absence of pneumatics are the characteristics that should lead to success at the competition in early June 2023.

In this context, MTA as a cooperation partner supports IFZN as a full service provider and specialist with the appropriate drive components (wheel hub drive), as well as the corresponding control system (dual axle controller) – components see photo above.
